Summer Highlights: Chapter 1: Ada M. | 2nd Form Student

Summer is a season of discovery, challenge, and personal growth, and our Dragons have embraced every opportunity to learn beyond the classroom. Throughout the holidays, many of our students have taken part in enriching programmes that have allowed them to develop new skills, build confidence, and create unforgettable memories.

One inspiring example is Ada M., who attended the prestigious Culver Summer Schools & Camps in Indiana, United States. Recognised for its long-standing tradition of excellence, Culver is renowned for developing leadership, discipline, teamwork, responsibility, and character through a highly structured six-week residential programme.

Bringing together more than 600 students aged 12 to 15, the programme offers a unique combination of academic, athletic, and leadership experiences. Throughout the summer, participants are continuously observed and encouraged to demonstrate initiative, resilience, and a positive influence on those around them.

We are especially proud to celebrate Ada's outstanding achievement of being selected for one of the programme's leadership positions, the highest level available within her age group. These roles are not assigned in advance. They are earned week by week through consistent effort, exemplary conduct, and the trust of instructors who recognise students with the greatest leadership potential.

Ada's accomplishment is a wonderful example of how stepping outside familiar surroundings can help young people discover strengths they may not have realised they possessed. Experiences like this encourage students to grow in confidence, embrace responsibility, and understand the positive impact they can have on others.

We congratulate Ada and all of our Dragons who have made the most of their summer by pursuing new experiences, embracing challenges, and representing Saint George School with pride. Their journeys remind us that meaningful learning happens everywhere through new experiences, lasting friendships, and opportunities that inspire students to reach their full potential.
