BIS Hanoi joins global education leaders at IECEE 2026

Held in Hanoi on 8–9 October, IECEE 2026 brought together delegates from more than 40 countries and territories, alongside educational institutions, government representatives, international organisations and technology partners. The conference focused on key topics shaping the future of education and workforce development, including artificial intelligence (AI), digital skills, English language education, educational technology (EdTech) and international collaboration.

Throughout the event, we welcomed visitors to the BIS exhibition booth, sharing how our personalised learning approach, world-class teaching and global opportunities support student success. Visitors learned more about our international curriculum, academic pathways and distinctive educational experiences.
The conference also provided valuable opportunities to connect with representatives from Vietnam's Ministry of Education and Training, the British Embassy, and a wide range of education organisations and partners, strengthening relationships and exchanging ideas about the future of international education.

A particular highlight was a workshop led by Rebecca Carroll, Principal of BIS Hanoi, and Simon Higham, Principal of BIS HCMC. Their session explored one of the most important questions facing education today: how schools can embrace technological innovation while continuing to nurture the distinctly human qualities that technology cannot replace.
The discussion highlighted the importance of creativity, critical thinking, communication, collaboration and emotional intelligence in preparing young people for an increasingly AI-driven world. These skills remain central to BIS' educational philosophy and are embedded throughout the curriculum, helping students become adaptable, globally minded learners who can thrive in an increasingly complex future. The theme resonated strongly throughout IECEE 2026, where many discussions focused on ensuring students develop not only digital literacy and AI capabilities but also the interpersonal and future-ready skills needed to succeed in a changing global economy.

As part of the Nord Anglia Education family, BIS Hanoi remains committed to preparing students for the future by combining academic excellence with the human skills and global perspectives that will enable them to lead with confidence and purpose.
We extend our sincere thanks to the organisers of IECEE 2026, the British Chamber of Commerce Vietnam, and everyone who visited our booth. It was a privilege to exchange ideas, share perspectives and contribute to the ongoing conversation about the future of education.
