OUR EYFS CURRICULUM

Our Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Reception children follow the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. Through age-appropriate yet challenging activities – as well as exhilarating new experiences – we inspire our children to explore, ask questions, and learn important skills.

Circle time

Dancing and learning rhymes; puppet shows, fun challenges, and lots of surprises – circle time is a highlight of every day! It’s a great opportunity for our children to share stories and develop their speaking and listening skills, too.

Our smallest learners make lots of noise in our music room, which is full of instruments to try. Specialist teachers will spark a love of singing, dancing, and performing, too, encouraging your child to show-off their talents at our fabulous early years concerts.

Let's get moving

After a healthy, delicious lunch, it’s time to expend some energy outside. Your child will clamber and climb on our pirate ship play area, peddle our tricycles, and slide, swing, and seesaw in our playground.

Story time

It’s time for a journey into the unknown, exploring magical worlds from the comfort of our cosy library. Students immerse themselves in the latest works of fiction and choose books to take home and share with the family.

Good sports

Running and jumping, throwing and kicking – getting active is a vital part of our students' development. Regular sports days are full of fun and friendly competitions, where your child will compete to win a medal!

parent involvement

KEEPING TRACK OF YOUR CHILD'S PROGRESS

Our teachers will keep track of your child’s development against the EYFS objectives and characteristics of effective learning.

Your child will also have their own learning journal on Seesaw, an online tool that captures their progress. Our staff regularly upload observations, photos, and short videos, which build a detailed record of their experiences. You’ll also receive a full report at the end of the Foundation Stage.
